Pub raided in Bengaluru; 7 held

BENGALURU: CCB police raided a pub for operating beyond permissible hours and playing loud music and arrested seven staffers. Police said following complaints, Jeff's Bar at Royal Orchid Hotel on Old Airport Road was raided.
It was found that the management was serving alcohol to customers in violation of the Excise Act and loud DJ music was being played without a valid licence, converting the pub into a dance bar.
Cash worth Rs 1.8 lakh was seized. Besides, 74 male and 30 female customers were produced before Jeevan Bima Nagar police station for appropriate legal action.
