Pillion rider dies after motorbike hits electric pole, then rams bus

Mangaluru: A pillion rider was killed in a bike accident after the two-wheeler hit an electricity pole and then rammed a bus on Parladka Road in Puttur on Saturday.
Police identified the deceased is Bharatraj Gowda, 21.
Dhanush, the motorbike rider, suffered injuries.
The accident happened when the duo was returning home after attending Ganeshotsava shobhayatra.
Dhanush reportedly lost control of his motorbike and hit the electricity pole.
Later, Dhanush rammed into the bus.
The duo were rushed to the hospital. A case has been registered at the Puttur Traffic police station.

A member of a Hindutva organisation reportedly ended his life by hanging at his house on Saturday evening.
The deceased is Jayanth Poojary, 49, from Kumpala.
He ended his life by hanging himself with a shawl when there was no one at home.
Ullal police is probing the case.
