Thane: The state PWD and forest department have started a drone survey to study precarious stretches along the inaccessible parts of the Parsik Hill overlooking the Mumbra suburb, officials informed.
The development comes after a huge boulder is believed to have chipped off the hilltop on Friday, crashing onto the highway and a few Mumbra settlements and killing a 35-year-old woman. "The Parsik Hill is prone to landslides. The drones will help keep a check on possible loose stretches," said forest department official.
