A total of 11 candidates have been recommended by the SSB interview board against 6 vacancies

The Indian Army published the Judge Advocate General (JAG) 29 merit list for men on their website on Saturday, and the SSB interview board recommended 11 candidates. The recommendation was on the basis of the candidates' performance in stage 1 and 2 of the SSB interview. The selected candidates will be called for the medical standard tests.
The Course will commence in October 2022 at OTA Chennai. The total notified vacancies for JAG 29 were 6 for men and 3 for women. The merit list of female candidates is yet to be published.
JAG provides special entry for law graduates without a written exam. Candidates are directly shortlisted on the merit of their graduation for the SSB interview.
The JAG Department is the legal branch of the Indian Army. It deals with military-related disciplinary cases and litigation and provides legal assistance to the army in human rights matters and the rule of law, among other things.
