Steve Irwin captured the hearts of individuals worldwide with his compassion and love for animals. But on September 4, 2006, at 44, he died unexpectedly due to an unintentional stingray assault.

When a stingray bit the environmentalist in the chest while filming a documentary about Australia's Great Barrier Reef, it resulted in the first stingray tragedy ever captured on camera.

Steven Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, left behind his wife, Terri Irwin, and their two kids, Robert and Bindi. But where are the Irwin children today, 16 years after their father's passing?

Steve and Terri's first child, Bindi

The first child of Steve and Terri Irwin, Bindi, was born on July 24, 1998.

Since her father's passing in 2006, Bindi and her brother Robert have carried on the Crocodile Hunter's reputation by succeeding in their father's footsteps as committed conservationists and zookeepers.

The Irwin family has grown over the years, and in March 2020, Bindi married Chandler Powell. In March 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. To celebrate Grace's first birthday in March 2022, Bindi raved about her in a birthday post.

A Performance To Remember

Indian singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, known fondly to us all as KK, died on May 31 after a performance at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. He was 53. The sudden demise of the singer shocked the nation. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time an artist has died during or after a performance. Many artists, including singers, actors and dancers, have died in the past while performing their art. Here's remembering them.

Bindi continues to work on conservation programs at the Australia Zoo together with her mother and younger brother, Robert. She also enjoys television and her program, Crickey!, has received much recognition. She also won the entire 2015 season of Dancing With The Stars.

Robert continues in the footsteps of his late father Steve Irwin

Robert, Steve and Terri's second child, was born on December 1, 2003, and due to their striking resemblance, he has been compared to his late father's appearance on occasion.

Along with his family, the 18-year-old continues to work at Australia Zoo, and he currently anchors a program called Robert's Real Life Adventures on the family zoo's internal TV channel.

At the Australian Zoo, overseen by his mother, Terri, Robert carries on his late father's work. This includes interacting with reptiles and engaging in crocodile fights. He was also nominated for a Logie Award in 2013 for his performance in Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors.
