Dalit org wants impartial probe

Hubballi: Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samiti has sought an impartial probe into the Pocso case filed against Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru of Murugha Mutt . If not, samiti will launch statewide protests, said its convenor Marish Nagannavar while speaking to reporters here on Saturday. “In connection with the case registered under Pocso Act, the accused should have been arrested within 24 hours. But the seer was arrested six days after the case was filed. Is law different for different people?” he asked. “The seer’s supporters are destroying the evidence related to the case. Police should conduct an honest investigation and find out the truth. The seer should cooperate with the investigation...” he said, adding there is a systematic conspiracy to cover up the case. tnn
