Gang pilfering diesel from NCLsupplies busted in Sonbhadra

Varanasi: In a two-day joint operation beginning Friday, the STF and Sonbhadra police arrested 10 members of a gang involved in stealing diesel supplied to Northern Coalfields Limited in Sonbhadra. While STF arrested six members of the gang on Friday, the kingpin and three others were arrested by Sonbhadra police on Saturday.
The gang was operating in connivance of the officials and staff of NCL, who were receiving Rs 34 for per litre stolen diesel, as well as many petrol pumps between Chandauli and NCL coal mines in Duddhichua under the limits of Shaktinagar police station in Sonbhadra.
