Chandrapur: Police have recovered the body of Sanjay Kamble, who was suspected of killing his two kids, from Sakara village in Wardha district on Saturday.
Kamble was absconding since Friday evening after the bodies of his children, son Ashmit (8) and daughter Misty (3), were recovered from their home in Boarda village in Warora tehsil.
According to police sources, Sanjay Kamble (42) used to run private tuition classes. He, however, lost all his students as well as his income during the pandemic and became bankrupt.
Due to the financial crisis, Kamble’s wife Pranita took up a job as a lab attendant at a private pharmacy college in Warora.
Cops claimed that Kamble brought his son Ashmit from his grandmother’s house in the same village on Friday afternoon. His daughter Misti also returned from school in the afternoon. Kamble is said to have poisoned both the kids at home and then left. Warora police found Kamble’s body along the road near his home town Sakara in Wardha district on Saturday. He died by suicide before going to his parental home in Sakara, said the police.
Officials recovered a suicide note in which Kamble apologized to his wife Pranita. He also confessed to have poisoned their kids due to the financial crisis. He also requested cops not to harass his neighbours during the investigation into his death.
Cops claimed that the deceased was suffering from some mental illness. Police suspect that Kamble too had consumed the same poison which he had given to his kids after reaching his hometown Sakara.
