NCSC to summon Jharkhand Chief Secretary, DGP over eviction of Dalit families

Condemning the eviction of around 50 Dalit families out of their homes in Jharkhand, National Commission of Scheduled Castes Vice Chairman Arun Halder on September 03 in Ranchi, informed that the Commission will soon summon Chief Secretary and DGP over the matter. The NCSC Vice Chairman informed that the Chief Secretary and DGP did not reply to the commission over the matter. “We found loopholes on the part of the administration. There seems to be some setting at the administration level as without it such things cannot happen. The families were thrown out and their houses were razed,” the Vice Chairman said. “We had written to Chief Secretary and DGP to attend us compulsorily and contacted them several times but they did not turn up. Commission will soon summon Chief Secretary and DGP,” he added.
