Man ends life at university hostel

Rajkot: A man committed suicide at the hostel of Marwadi University in the city, but police are not sure if he was a student or an employee.
Kuvadava Road police, which is investigating the case, said that the deceased was identified as Parth Pandya, a native of Porbandar. Bhargav Jhankant, police inspector, Kuvadva said, “We are are inquiring weather he was a student or an employee. The reason for this extreme step is still not known.”
Meanwhile, a video clip of a man and a woman kissing passionately went viral with a message that it was from the university. However, police said it was nothing to do with suicide.
University registrar Naresh Jadeja was unavailable for comment despite several attempts. TNN
