6 teachers to get state awards

Panaji: Six meritorious teachers have been chosen for the State Awards to Teachers for exemplary work for 2021-22.
Chief minister Pramod Sawant will felicitate them on the 61st Teacher’s Day to be held on September 13 at the main hall of Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji, at 11am.
In the primary teacher category, Sarojini Narayan Gawas of Government Primary School, Thane, Sattari, gets the award. In the secondary teacher category, the award goes to Ganpatrao Kustobarao Rane of Government High School, Ambedem, Nagargao, Sattari, and Diogo S Pinto of St Francis Xavier’s High School, Siolim. In the high school headmaster category, Devidas Vithoba Kotkar of Government High School, Ambedem, has bagged the award while in the higher secondary teacher category, Subhash Balkrishna Jan of Shree Ameya Higher Secondary School, Curti, Ponda, will be awarded. Mario Christopher Reuben Costa, Principal, VRDA’s Gauncar Higher Secondary School of Arts, Commerce and Vocational, Raia, Salcete, has won the award in the higher secondary principal category. tnn
