Panaji: The Goa University has announced its final admission round to postgraduate programmes for seats left vacant at the varsity and 16 affiliated colleges. The vacancies have been created after results of final year graduate programmes were announced last month and students who could not clear their graduate exam will have to forfeit their master’s seats.
“The final year results of the undergraduate general education programmes offered by Goa University have been recently announced. Candidates who were offered provisional admission based on the GU-Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) rank for various PG Programmes were required to successfully complete their undergraduate degree as per the eligibility indicated in Ordinance OA-20. Consequently, the provisional admission of those candidates who have failed to successfully complete their undergraduate degree stands withdrawn immediately,” the university said.
Such candidates are required to request for refund of the seat confirmation fee of Rs 5,000. The students are required to submit the request online by 5pm on September 9. In the meantime, GU will fill the vacancies caused as a result.

Candidates interested in securing admission at the respective college shall send an email to the college expressing their interest by September 15, 2022,” Goa University said.
The seats will be allotted based on the availability and the order of GU-ART rank amongst candidates who have expressed their interest for admission, GU said.
“Resultant vacancies created for programmes offered at single locations, either at the university schools or affiliated colleges shall be allotted by the Goa University Admission Cell. Selected candidates shall complete the enrolment process, including payment of fees latest by September 18, 2022.
