The minister alleged that police opted for high-handedness in a case relating to Piprauli village under Hargaon police station area.

"The local pradhan's husband mercilessly thrashed villagers when they objected to his freeing of cows from the 'gaushala'. The police also issued notice on behalf of the SDM to 170 innocent villagers, including those not residing in the village, for grabbing government land," alleged the minister.
"I petitioned the case to so but in vain. The miscreant is a history-sheeter and had also got security cover provided by police. He had also got the Ambedkar statue broken. The police should probe it and arrest the miscreants," the minister said.
The minister ended the dharna only after Sitapur DM Anuj Singh and Sitapur SP Ghule Sushil reached and assured of proper action in the case.
