Jaipur: The additional secretary of the ministry of commerce,
Amit Yadav, on Friday urged the Rajasthan government to improve infrastructure in the state and boost exports as the state has enormous potential of it.
In a meeting with senior officials of the state industries and commerce department and representatives from various industry bodies in the state held at Udyog Bhawan, Yadav said Rajasthan, which stands at 13th rank in the country in terms of exports, has the potential to contribute much more.
The Centre has plans to select 50 districts in the country through a competition in terms of export potential and infrastructure availability so as to fund them, said Yadav.
Commissioner of industries Mahendra Parakh made a presentation about Rajasthan’s ongoing initiatives to promote exports.
