Teen serial killer caught in MP, claims 5 victims

BHOPAL: The serial killer who terrorised Sagar city in Madhya Pradesh for nearly a week turned out to be a 19-year-old who "wanted to be famous". He was caught in Bhopal at dawn on Friday, but not before he claimed to have killed his fifth victim.
As cops were taking suspect Shivprasad Dhurve, alias Halku, back to Sagar, he smiled and said, "I killed another man tonight." On way to court, he flashed the victory sign and smiled.

The 19-year-old doing odd jobs, who claims to have killed five security guards in MP's Sagar and Bhopal in the last few days, told police that he borrowed his crime ideas and mannerisms from KGF-2's 'Rocky Bhai' and that policemen were to be his next target.
He has a disarming smile that hides his cold-blooded brutality, said cops who interacted with him.
"The world will know me soon," the teen killer had told his mother before cycling 65km to Sagar last week to begin his killing spree, said cops. He murdered three guards on consecutive nights. When police stepped up vigil in Sagar, Dhurve moved to the state capital to continue his murderous rampage.
But the phone that first led police to connect the dots in the apparently random murders also helped them track Dhurve down in Bhopal.
Dhurve had stolen this mobile off his second victim and discarded or dropped it near the body of the third, though he had taken away the SIM. This number pinged on the police surveillance network at 11pm when he began using it in Bhopal on Thursday night. A team sped from Sagar towards Bhopal, 180km away, all the while tracking the phone. At the same time, Dhurve was stalking his next victim.
In a grisly CCTV footage, he is seen bludgeoning a security guard at a marble shop in Bhopal. At 5am, they spotted him strolling down a road and caught him. He, however, didn't seem surprised or upset.
It was when they were around 40km into the return journey to Sagar that he suddenly piped up and said, "I killed another man tonight."
