MADURAI: South Western Railway has announced a special train between Mysore and
Thiruvananthapuram in view of the Onam festival. The festival special will run via Madurai to clear extra rush of passengers for the festival.
According to a statement from Madurai Railway Division, No 06201 Mysore – Thiruvananthapuram special train will leave Mysore at 12.15pm on September 7 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.30 am on next day.
In return direction, Number 06202 Thiruvananthapuram – Mysore special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 12.45 pm on September 8 and reach Mysore at 11.45am the next day.
These trains will stop at Mandya, Kengeri, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Omalur, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli and Nagercoil Town. The composition of these trains is one Tier II AC coach, Two Tier III AC coaches, 12 Sleeper Coaches and 2 General Compartment coaches.
