Rajkot: A gold artisan from west Bengal disappeared with gold worth Rs 28.37 lakh from a Rajkot-based jeweller. Sanjay Dhakan, who owns a jewellery shop on Bhupendra road, registered a complaint against Robil Hussain Sheikh and told the police that he had given Sheikh around 3 kg of gold in past three months to make jewellery items. While Sheikh returned some of the jewellery items, but he did not return gold worth Rs 28.36 lakh and suddenly disappeared.

Rajkot: Somnath temple received an income of Rs 5.9 crore in the month of Shravan this year while over 10 lakh devotees visited the temple during the holy month. According to the temple management, the devotees donated Rs 2.37 crore using cash, epayment, card swipe etc. They purchased silver coins from the temple worth Rs 30 lakh and prasad worth Rs 3.23 crore. Around 13 crore devotees from 45 countries joined various pujas through social media platforms during the period.
