BAREILLY: A 48-year-old man who was working as a technical assistant at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) died while dancing on the DJ floor during a late-night party in UP's Bareilly on Thursday. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Prabhat Kumar was attending the birthday party of a friend at a hotel in Bareilly's Premnagar locality. He was dancing to a popular Hindi song while his friend was recording his performance when Prabhat suddenly collapsed and his head hit the floor. He was immediately given CPR by a doctor present at the party, but he was non-responsive to the treatment. Prabhat was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead. Doctors said that he suffered a severe heart attack.
Surendra Sinha, alias Binu, a social worker and Prabhat's friend, shared the video on social media and told TOI, "Prabhat looked fit while dancing and suddenly collapsed in front of my eyes. Dr Vinod Pagrani, one of the guests at the party, immediately checked his pulse and gave him CPR. Prabhat was motionless and didn't respond to the treatment, therefore, he was sent to the hospital where he was officially declared dead. I think that he died the same moment he fell down. I am still unable to forget what happened in front of my eyes. His family says that he played badminton before attending the party."
Police said that no complaint was filed in this case as it was a natural death.
