Sarma launches Rashtriya Poshan Maah

Guwahati: Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 under Poshan Abhiyan in a programme organised by the women and child development department here on Thursday.
Sarma said following PM Narendra Modi’s vision to make the country free from malnutrition, the Assam government has been implementing a number of programmes to eradicate malnutrition and anaemia.
Stating that the government is making all possible efforts to encourage “Jan Bhagidari” (public participation) to turn the Poshan Abhiyan into a “Jan Andolan” (mass movement), the CM said “Poshan Panchayat” campaign will be held across the state during Poshan Maah. TNN
