RANCHI: Students of classes III to XII of city schools will learn about environment, agriculture and disaster management using mapping documents and technical equipment.
A curriculum has been developed to teach students about the observation of the environment effectively. Environment intelligence company, Hydenmet Solutions, Bangalore, has signed a contract with Firayalal School and 16 more are in talks with the company, which will provide the equipment and teacher training.
Talking to TOI, Niraj Kumar Sinha, principal of Firayalal Public School, said, “The organisation will install an automatic weather station at the school for hyperlocal weather observations and forecasts. The modules cover all earth spheres (atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and pedosphere). Science and geography teachers will be trained from September 6.”
