Merck on Friday announced the inauguration of its healthcare research and development centre in Bengaluru.

The Merck India R&D Excellence Centre contributes to the company’s healthcare R&D that helps treat patients with unmet medical needs around the world.

The centre of the German drug maker employs about 300 people and will continue its expansion over the next 2 years.

"The R&D Excellence Centre strives to bring the best of global practices and local talent to enable the vision of enhanced patient outcomes,” Thatte added.
