Vehicle-lifters’ gang busted

Ludhiana: The Division 8 police on Wednesday busted a gang of vehicle-lifters, with the arrest of five. The police also recovered 10 stolen motorcycles from their possession, besides a set of duplicate keys. The arrested are Lakhwinder Singh, Manjeet Singh and Jaskaran Singh of Sidhwan Bet, Unkar Singh and Simran Singh of Jalandhar. Neeraj Chaudhary, SHO of Division 8, said, “Lakhwinder and Jaskaran were arrested at Aarti Chowk checkpost when they were commuting on a stolen bike. On their information, their aides were nabbed. They would use duplicate keys to steal bikes.” TNN
