Mumbai: BEST introduces dynamic QR code for ease of power bill payment

MUMBAI: After digital ticketing, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) on Thursday introduced a new feature for easy digital payment of electricity bills for 10.5 lakh consumers in the island city.
BEST general manager Lokesh Chandra said that now dynamic QR code will be published on every electricity bill which is sent to consumers either physically or online.
“You just need to scan the code and make the digital payment for your bill using mobile wallet UPI, net banking or credit/debit cards. You will not have to walk out of home to the nearest bill collection centre and the payment can be done within minutes from home,” he added.
