Dangee Dums(up 10.95%), Dodla Dairy(up 6.89%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 3.55%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 3.54%), Zydus Wellness(up 2.99%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.77%), Emami(up 1.60%), Varun Beverages(up 0.78%), Heritage Foods(up 0.45%) and DFM Foods(up 0.35%) stood among the top gainers.
Future Consumer(down 2.94%), Dabur India(down 2.40%), Parag Milk(down 2.21%), Umang Dairies(down 2.07%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.02%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.85%), Hindustan Foods(down 1.84%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 1.57%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 1.49%) and Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 1.23%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 216.5 points down at 17542.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 770.48 points at 58766.59.
TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 3.55%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.62%), Asian Paints(up 1.62%), Eicher Motors(up 1.57%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.37%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.16%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.82%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.67%), State Bank of India(up 0.39%) and Grasim Industries(up 0.38%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 3.88%), Reliance Industries(down 2.94%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.81%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.47%), SBI Life(down 2.45%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.37%), Shree Cement(down 2.21%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.16%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.02%) and NTPC(down 2.01%) closed in the red.
