Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.59% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:26AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 7.78 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 2.13 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.98 per cent), DLF(up 1.79 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 1.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.59 per cent at 470.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 98.65 points at 17660.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 363.94 points at 59173.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of , Zomato Ltd., JP Power, and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , , , and Rossell India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , , and Biocon hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
