Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:24AM

Dodla Dairy(up 5.92%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 4.87%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.69%), Dangee Dums(up 2.53%), Jyothy Labs(up 2.04%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 1.45%), Heritage Foods(up 1.40%), Zydus Wellness(up 1.14%), Marico(up 0.96%) and Vadilal Industries(up 0.80%) were among the top gainers.

Dabur India(down 2.00%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.14%), Nestle India(down 1.08%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 1.05%), Britannia Industries(down 0.47%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 0.41%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.35%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 0.34%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.21%) and Gillette India(down 0.07%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 79.35 points down at 17679.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 275.49 points at 59261.58 at around 10:24AM.

Bajaj Finserv(up 3.17%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.7%), Bharti Airtel(up 2.25%), Eicher Motors(up 1.78%), Asian Paints(up 1.77%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.5%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.41%), State Bank of India(up 1.3%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.16%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.02%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.63%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.56%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.14%), Infosys(down 1.81%), SBI Life(down 1.68%), Reliance Industries(down 1.41%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.29%), UPL Ltd(down 1.23%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.14%) and Nestle India(down 1.08%) were trading in the red.
