AIZAWL: The number of Covid-19 active cases dipped to 459 on Wednesday and the recovery rate improved to 99.5% in Mizoram though the daily caseload and the test positivity rate (TPR) stubbornly refused to come down.
The state, which recorded over 1,000 active cases during the first half of August, has steadily improved with more people recovering daily thereby recording the highest recovery percentage among the eight northeastern states.
However, the daily caseload continued to remain high, hovering between being the highest and second highest next to Assam in August.
