Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 770.48 points down at 58766.59 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Shree Global(down 16.85 per cent), Indiabulls Intgrtd(down 15.23 per cent), Simplex Mills(down 11.63 per cent), Ltd.(down 10.41 per cent) and Chothani Foods(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 216.5 points down at 17542.8.
On the BSE, , , , Piramal Ent. and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , POCL Enterprises, , and touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
