‘Savarkar rath yatra raised awareness’

Mysuru: Savarkar Prathistan leader Yashaswini on Tuesdaysaid the eight-day Savarkar Rath Yatra carried out by the foundation could create awareness among the public about the role of Hindu Mahasabha leader Vinayak Damodar Savarkar during the freedom movement.
Speaking to reporters, she stated that the rath yatra covered 2,000km in Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, and Mandya districts. “We were able to reach out to over 10 lakh people,” she stated.
Pamphlets about Savarkar was distributed. Books related to Savarkar were also shared among the readers. Savarkar’s sacrifices were explained to the people, she said. TNN
