Climber, porter on their way to Arunachal peak go missing

GUWAHATI: Niku Dao, the porter assistant of Tapi Mra, the first Arunachalee to conquer Mount Everest, has also gone missing along with the climber on their way to one of the highest snow-capped peaks in Mount Kyarisatam, East Kameng district administration in Arunachal Pradesh confirmed on Tuesday, reports Kangkan Kalita.
Both are missing for the last eight days after venturing out from a base camp located at an altitude of over 4,000 metres. Even as the aerial search and rescue operation was planned from Tuesday morning, inclement weather prevented the Army aviation wing from taking off to the destination.
