Barely a few days to go to witness Apple’s mega launch of its latest smartphone – the iPhone 14 series. The Internet is bustling with speculations on specifications and the latest innovations that Apple might introduce on its next-generation smartphones.

While it has been reported a million times that iPhone 14 will feature Apple’s most powerful chipset, now latest reports seem to be suggesting that the new iPhones may come with a 30W charger. The report came to the surface after DuanRui, a tipster, posted the development on his Twitter handle.

DuanRui said that a leading charger brand has started sending new chargers to the media that could probably support the forthcoming iPhone 14. “The iPhone 14 Pro series may use 30W charging power? Recently, a charger brand began to send new charger products to the media, and it will advertise in the experience video of the iPhone 14 series,” he wrote on Twitter.
Interestingly, the tipster added that the cable given by the manufacturer is the Lightning interface. Reportedly, Apple plans to change the port to USB-C in 2023 with its iPhone 15 series.

Earlier this year, a similar claim was made by noted Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The analyst had said that Apple may release its next GaN charger in 2022 with 30W support with a new form factor design.

iPhone 14 & Apple Watch Series 8: Top Features To Expect

Apple has announced its next big event ‘Far Out’ on September 7. The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to come out with an array of smartphones and other devices. Here’s a look at what to expect from the mega event.

An iPhone 8 or above will charge up to 50 per cent in 30 minutes with the 18W PD USB-C adapter. A new 30W charger would mean faster charging in less time. As of now the iPhone 12 features 20W fast-charging support. The reports, however, do not specify if the new charger will be on Pro models or will be available across all iPhone 14 models.
