Gurugram sees 141 new Covid cases, 1 death

GURUGRAM: The city on Sunday reported 141 new Covid cases, a dip of 36% from the previous day when 222 cases were recorded. With this, Gurugram now has 962 active cases. The daily positivity rate dipped to 4.1% from 5.9% recorded a day before.
One person died of the infection in the city on Sunday - a 71-year-old woman, who was admitted with fever, cough and shortness of breath to a private hospital on August 25. The patient tested positive at the hospital. She had comorbidities like diabetes and hypertension.
"We are in a plateau as the cases are constantly going down but as we are witnessing Covid deaths we are appealing to everyone to get booster dose at the earliest, especially people who are older and have multiple comorbidities," said Dr Virender Yadav, the chief medical officer.
