Rajkot: Three persons were booked for allegedly selling alcohol mixed herbal tonic in Jamnagar on Saturday. An FIR was filed against the trio — Ramesh Gadhvi, Naran Jam and Divyarajsinh Jadeja — after samples of the herbal tonic seized from them in July this year confirmed presence of alcohol.
According to C Division police of Jamnagar, shopkeepers Ramesh and Naran were selling the herbal tonic which was supplied by Jadeja, a resident of Bhavnagar.
On July 1, the police raided the shops of Ramesh and Naran based on specific information and seized herbal tonic from them. The samples of the tonic were sent for testing whose report on Saturday confirmed the presence of 15% alcohol in the herbal tonic.
Based on the report, constable Javed Vagjol of C Division police station registered FIR against the accused.
