Watch towers set up at check posts in Steel City

Jamshedpur: The district administration has set up watch towers at check posts across Steel City as part of its heightened security measures ahead of the festive season.
“The watch towers will be set up with CSR (corporate social responsibility) funds,” DC Vijaya Jadhav said.
The watch towers will be set up at the check posts in Mango, Paridih, Domuhani (Sonari), toll bridge (Kadma), Kharkhai river overbridge (Bistupur), Pursudih and MGM Chowk. There will be round-the-clock security at the check posts and CCTVs and drones will be used for keeping vigilance.
As part of the plan, the district officials will conduct a fresh assessment of the main roads, markets and other public places and depending on that, additional CCTVs will be installed if required.
