KPI Green Energy(up 5.61%), Transmission(up 5.15%), Adani Power(up 4.99%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.95%), Alstom T&D India(up 4.80%), SJVN(up 3.63%), Indowind Energy(up 3.28%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 3.17%), Adani Transmissions(up 2.78%) and Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 2.38%) stood among the top gainers.
PIGL(down 4.82%), DPSC(down 3.53%), Karma Energy(down 3.42%), CESC(down 2.56%), RTNPOWER(down 2.47%), ADANIGREEN(down 2.29%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 2.17%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 1.96%), Suzlon Energy(down 1.83%) and Orient Green Power Company(down 1.65%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 246.0 points down at 17312.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 861.25 points at 57972.62.
Britannia Industries(up 1.58%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.3%), Enterprises(up 0.86%), Nestle India(up 0.61%), Asian Paints(up 0.59%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.52%), Coal India(up 0.28%), ITC(up 0.21%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.17%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.17%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 4.61%), Infosys(down 3.93%), Wipro(down 3.09%), HCL Technologies(down 2.98%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.78%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.74%), JSW Steel(down 2.61%), Tata Motors(down 2.52%), Tata Steel(down 2.33%) and Hindalco Industries(down 2.24%) closed in the red.
