Kanpur: Body of a 30-year-old driver was found lying inside the car under mysterious circumstances in the Maharajpur area of the district late on Sunday evening. Police informed the family members and shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem.
According to Maharajpur police station in-charge Satish Singh, Sandeep Yadav, a resident of Narayanpur village, used to drive the taxi of Kalyanpur resident
Ranveer Singh.
During interrogation, Ranveer told the police that Sandeep had taken the vehicle to Digital Zone College with the teacher engaged in examination duty. “After that he parked the car and slept inside it. When he did not get out of the car till late evening, the people of the area got suspicious and they informed the police. The police somehow broke the window panes of the car and opened the door only to find Sandeep lying dead,” said the police.
The police station in-charge said that there were no injury marks on the driver’s body. Going by the preliminary findings it appears that he died due to suffocation. “The body has been sent for the post-mortem examination. Further action will be taken after the autopsy report is received,” he said further.
