Thiruvananthapuram: Man held with 45 drug ampoules

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Peroorkada police arrested a 45-year-old man for selling drug ampoules to people, including students, on Saturday, said city police commissioner G Sparjan Kumar.
Saji, of Sagai at Lakshminagar near Kesavadasapuram in Pattom, was arrested based on a tip-off received by narcotic cell ACP P Sheen Tharayil. Subsequently, he was under observation for the last couple of days. While attempting to sell an ampoule to a person on a road near Kesavadasapuram, he was arrested with 45 ampoules in hand by police with the help of special action group against organised crime (SAGOC) and Dansaf.
Saji used to bring drug ampoules from Delhi to Kerala and Tamil Nadu for sale here, said police
City police have been on a drive against drug dealers under the guidance of deputy police commissioner Ajit Kumar. The arrest was part of the drive and more investigations will be conducted about his drug transactions. tnn
