Thane: Teacher beats SSC student with stick, fractures his wrist

KALYAN: An SSC student was left with a fractured hand after his teacher beat up him with stick.
The incidence took place in Shakuntala Vidyalay situated in Titwala area, the police informed.
The student's parents have lodged an FIR against the teacher Priya Singh.
However, no arrest has been made so far, and investigation in the case is underway, senior police inspector informed.
The school administration has also clarified that action will be taken after the investigation is over.
According to the victim's mother, on Thursday, his son had a dispute with one of his classmates during recess. Following which, the latter complained to the class teacher.
When the victim instead on listening to both sides, the teacher started beating him with a stick that hit his wrist bone and resulted in swelling.
The boy after reaching home informed his parents about the incident, who rushed him to a hospital.
His x-ray revealed that he has suffered fracture in his wrist bone.
The victim's parents approached the police on Friday, and got an FIR registered against the teacher.
Following the incident, the school management have also ordered internal enquiry against the teacher.
