Punjab: Congress MP Amar Singh contributes Rs 20 lakh for Sidhu Moose Wala memorial

BATHINDA: Fatehgarh Sahib MP Amar Singh on Sunday contributed Rs 20 lakh from his local area development fund for setting up the memorial of late singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu who was known as Sidhu Moose Wala at his native village, Musa in Mansa district of Punjab.
Singh, accompanied by the PCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and the general secretary Capt Sandeep Sandhu, visited the family of the late singer and met his father Balkaur Singh.
Warring, later said, this was just a beginning and the party will ensure to create a great memorial in Moose Wala’s memory.

"Not only will it help in keeping Moose Wala's memory alive, but also inspire the younger generation," he said after meeting the family members of Moose Wala.
"Thanks to Dr Singh for providing Rs 20 lakh to set up the memorial in memory of the great singer," said Warring.
He also saluted the courage of Moose Wala’s father Balkaur Singh for his courage and commitment to pursue Moose Wala’s mission.
Amar Singh said, Moosewala’s killing was a great loss not only for the party, but for the entire Punjab and the country as he was a great youth icon every nation would always feel proud of.
"It is our duty to keep his memory alive for the future generations," he said.
