After 15 days, one Covid-19 death in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: One Covid-19 death was reported in the city on Saturday after a gap of 15 days when a 70-year-old man died due to the viral infection at Lok Bandhu Hospital, taking the toll since March 2020 to 2,698.
The man, a resident of Jail road, tested Covid positive on August 20 and was undergoing treatment for seven days.
"The patient was suffering from multiple ailments like diabetes and respiratory disease and died due to cardiac arrest," said Ajay Tripathi, medical superintendent of the hospital.
Meanwhile, 75 people, including 40 women, were diagnosed with Covid-19 on Saturday taking the active caseload to 531. Also, 110 patients recovered from the infection in the past 24 hours.
CMO office spokesperson Yogesh Raguvanshi said: "All those who tested positive on Saturday have mild symptoms and are in home isolation. We are regularly monitoring their condition."
