Ex-CM Vasundhara Raje speaks to flood-hit people in Jhalawar on Thursday
KOTA: Former chief minister and national vice-president of BJP, Vasundhara Raje, on the second day of her tour to flood affected areas conducted aerial survey in flood hit areas in Jhalawar and Bhilwara districts on Thursday and interacted with affected people in her home constituency Jhalawar.
Raje alleged the state government does nothing more than delivering statements, directions and visits after the disaster and damage caused by flood last year is proof of it as several flood victims in the state did not receive the compensation so far.
While the farmers had not yet overcome the losses following disaster to crops last year, they were again forced to shed tears due to damage to kharif crop in the present flood, she said.
The present state government does not come to wipe tears of the victims, alleged the former chief minister.
Insurance claim of soyabean of last year is still pending to several farmers in the state, she alleged.
The former CM demanded the state government to complete the assessment of damage and to provide relief and compensation to the affected people.
