Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Total Transport Sys, SKP Bearing Industries Ltd., Rachana Infrastructure Ltd., and , hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 82.5 points down at 17522.45 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as , Veekayem Fashion & Apparels Ltd., , and , touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 17 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 33 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, , , , and Inds. were among top gainers during the day, while , , , and NTPC ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 310.71 points down at 58774.72.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Beverages - Alcoholic, Learning & Education, Tea / Coffee and Real Estate sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Term Lending Institutions, Gas & Petroleum, Auto Ancillaries and Pharmaceuticals sectors during the day.
