The NSE Nifty index ended the session 82.5 points down at 17522.45, while BSE Sensex fell 310.71 points to 58774.72.
In the Nifty index, .(up 1.71 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), .(up 0.91 per cent), .(up 0.89 per cent) and .(up 0.78 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.43 per cent), .(down 1.81 per cent), .(down 1.37 per cent), .(down 1.26 per cent) and .(down 1.18 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
