Berger Paints shares gain 0.08% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Berger Paints (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 660.4 on BSE at 12:13PM (IST) on Thursday, up 0.08 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 543.85 and a high of Rs 856.9.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 67.74 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 9.74 per share and 17.31 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 15,400 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:13PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 64060.48 crore and is part of the Paints/Varnishes industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 15.8 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 9.15 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 665.4 and Rs 658.4.

Promoters held 60.51 per cent in the company as of 30-Jun-2022. FII and MF ownership in (India) Ltd. stood at 11.03 per cent and 1.01 per cent, respectively.
