ReutersNEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Kolte-Patil Dev.(20.0%), Ramky Infra(19.99%), TIL Ltd(19.98%), Goel .(19.96%), Aban Offshore(19.94%), Shalimar Wires(19.93%), (19.38%), Jindal Photo(16.1%) and Amin Tannery L(15.75%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 310.71 points down at 58774.72, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 82.5 points down at 17522.45.
In the Nifty50 index, 17 stocks closed in the green, while 33 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Goel Food Products Ltd., , Sky Gold, and hit their fresh 52-week high, while , , , and touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
