Panaji: Stating that the chaos that occurred last week regarding the Ashtami fair was due to the resale of forms, commissioner of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP), Agnelo Fernandes, said that an inquiry is being conducted into the matter.
Fernandes alleged that after the corporation made application forms available for Rs 200 each, some vendors took up to 10 forms at a time and then resold them for the exorbitant price from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 per form.
Though he maintained that CCP officials were not involved in the suspicious issuing of multiple forms per vendor, he said that they are inquiring into the matter.
