City gets second smart anganwadi

Thiruvananthapuram: Health minister Veena George inaugurated the smart anganwadi and cultural centre building at Kunnumpuram in Pathirapally on Tuesday.
The building was named after poet Sugathakumari’s poem ‘Pavizhamalli’. The project was implemented at a cost of Rs 40 lakh spent from the asset development fund of Vattiyoorkavu MLA V K Prasanth.
The minister said that the government has envisaged schemes to make 208 smart anganwadis and two of them have been completed. tnn
