Fund allotted for paediatric dept of SAT Hospital

Thiruvananthapuram: Health minister Veena George said that Rs 93.36 lakh has been sanctioned for strengthening the paediatric gastroenterology department at SAT Hospital here.
The fund would be utilized for purchasing paediatric gastrointestinal endoscopy machine, she said.
Once installed, the children who are coming to this department would be getting the state-of-the-art treatment. This would also help in starting the super-speciality DM course in this department, she said.
It is estimated that over 4,000 children are taking treatment from this department at the SAT Hospital. With this machine getting added to the treatment facility, the children who have undergone liver transplant surgery can be provided treatment.
