Vadodara: The police on Tuesday arrested a man who turned up for taking exams for railway recruitment in the city. Rajyaguru Gupta had posed as Manish Kumar from Bihar and appeared for the exams held at a centre here.
The supervisor of the exam suspected some foul play when Gupta was asked to put his thumb on the fingerprint recognition machine. Investigation revealed that Gupta had pasted the finger skin of Manish Kumar on his thumb and appeared with a bogus identity.
According to the police, the candidates are let in the exam centre after checking their identity cards and after taking their thumb impressions. Each candidate is allotted the lab for taking exams. The fingerprint is verified with Aadhar card data. The Laxmipura police booked Gupta and began an investigation to track down the other accused.
