Girl blackmails boy after undressing herself on video call

Mysuru: Mysuru district police have received a petition from a resident of Bilikere in Hunsur claiming that an unknown woman, after undressing herself during a video call, is trying to blackmail him using the call recording.
The complainant had received a video call from an unknown number. As soon as he answered the call, she undressed and recorded the footage. Though he immediately snapped the call, he later received a message asking him to heed her demand, failing which she threatened to upload the recording on a social networking sites. Sources said the complainant had chatted up with her for sometime before she called him on video.
CEN police of Mysuru district said they often receive such complaints, and they treat them as petitions. The blackmailers operate from a distant place and tracing social media calls is challenging. If the accused is a local resident, action will be taken against them, they said.
Meanwhile, Nazarbad police have solved the theft of two video cameras from Government Teachers’ Training University at Vasanth Mahal here. The authorities had complained about the theft of the cameras worth Rs 1.71 lakh. Police have recovered the stolen cameras from the arrested youth.
